At xantura, we work with a growing number of local authorities to help them to improve outcomes for vulnerable people through the use of advanced analytics. We have invested over 10 years in ensuring that the work we do is legal and ethical and up to date with current best practices. We are therefore delighted to read the blog from Stephen Bonner of the ICO summarising their extensive investigation into the use of AI by local authorities, which encompassed a review of analytics generated by OneView, and concluding that they had found no evidence “to suggest that claimants are subjected to any harms or financial detriment as a result of the use of algorithms or similar technologies in the welfare and social care sector”.
We will continue to hold ourselves to the highest standards and look forward to supporting more local authorities to help their most vulnerable residents, especially during these challenging times.
