What we do (copy)

We use big data to make a big difference

Powering this people-focused approach is a cloud-based platform for sharing data in a controlled way. It uses advanced analytics to identify the people who are most likely to need support in the future. And it presents its insights as case summaries you can use to bring about lasting change.

With demand going up and budgets going down, the UK public sector is under enormous strain.

We use big data to help more than 80 clients in children’s social care, debt, housing and beyond to understand and manage that demand. And we help them get more from their budget by identifying where their support will make the biggest difference. Because it’s by intervening early that you can really change lives.

Government funding for local authorities has fallen by an estimated 49.1% in real terms over the last ten years

On the front line?

OneView will help you to:

  • Get a broader, more holistic view of the cases you’re reviewing, so you can make more informed decisions.
  • Support people early, rather than trying to fix a situation after it’s got worse.
  • Step down people who are doing well, rather than keeping them in the system unnecessarily.

In a leadership role?

OneView will help you to:

  • Allocate cases to the most appropriate team members.
  • Understand what works for which clients and in what situations, so you can commission the right services.
  • Make better use of your limited resources by preventing people from stepping up to a more resource-intensive part of the system.

What we do

We use data from many council agencies to create a joined-up, insightful view of a person, family or group. Having this full picture means you can make better decisions, take more effective action and have a bigger impact. All in a way that’s ethical, appropriate and proportionate.

Children's social care

Children often suffer the most when the system fails. We give you a holistic view of a child and its family, so you can understand who’s most at risk of stepping up to the next level. And you can coordinate care across agencies to prevent it from happening.

Homelessness

Many of the factors involved in homelessness are beyond the control of the housing team. We help you to join up with, and make early referrals to, other agencies and partners. So you can coordinate a multi-disciplinary approach to keeping a person in their home.

Community safety

People who are frail or otherwise vulnerable are more likely to fall prey to antisocial behaviour. We help you to identify and address the issues that increase re-offending. And we help you to understand who’s at risk of becoming victims, so you can take steps to prevent it.

Adult health and social care

When the agencies involved in taking care of the frail and elderly don’t join up properly, hospital admissions increase and health declines faster. We help you to understand who’s at risk, so you can coordinate care across service providers and help people live well for longer.

Debt and benefits

Local authorities often lack the full picture of the debt people have, or whether chasing it would add stress to an already vulnerable household. We help you to build ‘smarter’ strategies that collect the most debt while having the least impact on society.

Innovating for the future

Tapping into the latest consumer-facing tech. Exploring the potential of mainstream apps. Creating synthetic data academics can use for research. We’re always thinking about how we can harness advances in data and digital technology to help you make a bigger impact.

How it works

Powering this people-focused approach is a cloud-based platform for sharing data in a controlled way. It uses advanced analytics to identify the people who are most likely to need support in the future. And it presents its insights as case summaries you can use to bring about lasting change.
