Xantura are delighted to announce our new partnership with CIPFA to help councils identify the individuals and households most vulnerable to the health, social and economic impacts of COVID-19.
At the moment, most councils are working extremely hard to support their clinically vulnerable residents and ensure that they are kept safe and supported. The new service announced today goes further, identifying vulnerable people and households based on a much broader set of risk factors. These include: debt levels; income and reliance on benefits; whether they live alone; and disabilities, alongside a wider set of health issues.
This service will enable local authorities to rapidly identify their most vulnerable residents across a range of different service areas and enable their front-line staff to effectively approach and support these households in a targeted way. In addition, it will also enable senior leaders within councils to gain a deeper understanding of the likely future impact of COVID-19 on the demand for all their key service areas to enable better budgeting and improved cost mitigation.
We are very excited about the potential of this partnership in supporting councils to manage the immediate and longer term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
